FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS THERAPY AN INVESTMENT?

Yes! It is most definitely an investment in yourself.  It is not only a financial and time commitment, it is also a place for you to work on your own growth, healing, and transformation. I am investing my time and energy into your success as well.  Of all the investments we can make, I find the investment in betterment of self to be the most valuable.

DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?

LPC's in Texas do not prescribe medication.  Our role is to work with the patient on their goals for treatment.  I can offer a recommendation to your physician for a medication evaluation if your evaluation and diagnosis support that.  I do not force medications.  I support both patients who seek therapy to help them make changes in their life in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and those who who choose to seek medication in addition to therapy.  I also provide medication management. The goal of any medication is symptom control and no side effects. I can assist you in communicating with your physician if requested.
