About Me
Are you feeling stressed, confused, struggling to be your best? I am here to support and help you work through these challenges. I provide a supportive, encouraging, and caring environment where you can explore your concerns and work toward meaningful, achievable change. Using cognitive behavioral therapy and a person-centered foundation, I can help you work through areas of your life where you want to improve functioning. I believe we all have the capacity for change and my role is guiding and supporting you through that process while giving you the skills and techniques to assist you in achieving your goals. With a respectful and non-judgmental approach to people, regardless of their presenting concerns, circumstances, or life choices, I can work with you to help you achieve your goals using an approach individualized to you.
Reaching out for help may be uncomfortable but so are life experiences that require additional support or help to achieve mental and emotional wellbeing. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email with any questions you may have. I understand that some people may feel uncertain about whether they can truly connect with a therapist through telehealth but my experience with it has been positive and research supports its benefits (https://hcp.hms.harvard.edu/news/benefits-telehealth-visits-mental-health-patients; https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10337293/ ).
I have 25 years of managerial experience and have worked in the mental health field supporting individuals through case management and interventions. I also have experience in a role that focuses on social emotional behavioral support. I graduated with distinction from Capella University’s CACREP-accredited Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, earning a 4.0 GPA.
A favorite part of counseling for me is supporting and helping those who struggle with life issues and turning those issues into the foundation on which you can build life successes. This is achieved by learning about you and developing a better understanding of what you are experiencing. I strive to create a counseling relationship free of judgment and accept where you are in your walk in life. Everyone’s life experiences are different, so I want counseling to focus on you and what matters most to you.
Wishing you mental and emotional wellbeing!
Jonathan
